Four days outdoor

The Festival of the 24 Barons Trail opens Nicosia’s hiking season every year. Four days (Thursday-Sunday) of activities combining walking, historical narrative, food and wine.

Programme:

  • Thursday: official opening, presentation of the new trail signage.
  • Friday: guided trek to the rock dwellings.
  • Saturday: 24 Barons Trail — first stage (Nicosia-Sperlinga).
  • Sunday: 24 Barons Trail — second stage (Sperlinga-Cerami).

Capacity: 250 ticketed, mostly experienced hikers.

Packages

  • Full festival: 3 nights at an agriturismo + guided treks + trail dinners + sponsor merchandise.
  • 3-day trail: Friday to Sunday, two nights, luggage transfer included.
  • Single day: one guided trek.

Line sponsors: Salomon, Ferrino, Komoot.

Who it’s for

For experienced hikers comfortable with multi-day formats. Technical level is medium (12-18 km/day, 400-700 m elevation), but those new to serious trekking should start with single days.

Families can join the “Rock dwellings kids” half-day on Sunday morning .
