The village on the rock

Cerami is a small inland-Sicily village, built on a limestone rock that dominates the Cerami river valley. Its strategic position between Nebrodi and Madonie, on an ancient communication route between the Tyrrhenian and the inland, has made it a historic node of the territory.

The Cerami river

The Cerami river runs through the valley below the village. In recent years the local administration has inaugurated a trekking path along the river with signage and rest areas, which integrates with the 24 Barons Trail and the CAI Nebrodi network (see News — Cerami: new river trekking path).

The partner village

Cerami is a DMO partner of the Nicosian territory and is the third and final stage of the 24 Barons Trail. The collaboration between Nicosia, Sperlinga and Cerami creates an inland tourism district with integrated heritage, landscape and hospitality.
