What ViviNicosia is
ViviNicosia is an independent civic movement supporting the tourism, economy and citizens of Nicosia (Enna), the city of the 24 Barons in the heart of the Nebrodi, in inland Sicily. We bring together, in one place, events, accommodation, experiences, itineraries, heritage sites and local businesses, with a simple goal: to connect those who visit Nicosia with those who keep it alive — with no intermediaries and no commission.
Who is behind it
ViviNicosia is an independent civic initiative, not an institutional body. We work closely with the territory's collaborators — the Pro Loco of Nicosia and the association Nicosia di Sicilia ETS-APS, our partner for experiential itineraries and local products — and with local operators (restaurateurs, hosts, producers, guides, photographers) to gather the listings' data and keep the calendar and content up to date.
How we work
- Independent: ViviNicosia is an autonomous civic movement, at the service of the territory and its citizens.
- No commission: contact with hosts and businesses is direct. ViviNicosia is not an intermediary and takes no cut.
- Sourced listings: every page says where its data comes from — the operator where stated, the local sources cited at the bottom, or the external platform for listings taken from there. Where a listing is still being checked, it says so.
- Editorial, not a marketplace: we choose what to feature on editorial grounds, in dialogue with the territory's collaborators.
- Bilingual: the main content is available in Italian and English to welcome international visitors too.
