Terms and conditions

The rules for using this site: what it offers, what it is not, and the limits of liability.

Last updated: 17 July 2026.

1. Who runs the site

Vivi Nicosia (the “site”) is run by Stefano Compagnone (Contrada Marrigo snc — 94014 Nicosia (Enna), Italy). For anything regarding these terms, write to info@vivinicosia.it. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not agree with them, please do not use it.

2. What the site is (and is not)

Vivi Nicosia is an informational portal about Nicosia and the inland Nebrodi: it covers the area’s places, events, experiences, routes and businesses. It is a tool for discovery and orientation — not a travel agency or a booking platform.

The site does not sell tickets, stays or experiences and does not collect payments on behalf of third parties. When you find an experience or a property, booking always happens directly with the operator named, on the commercial and contractual terms that operator sets.

3. Accuracy of information

Details on opening times, dates, prices, routes and availability are gathered carefully from sources we consider reliable and are updated periodically, but they may change without notice. Before you travel, always verify the essentials (openings, bookings, trail conditions) with the operator or the relevant authority. We do not warrant that the content is error-free or complete at all times.

Geo-referenced routes and tracks are provided for guidance only. Hiking and spending time in natural environments carry risks: assess your own condition, equipment and the weather — you are solely responsible for your safety.

4. Third-party links and services

The site links to sites and services run by third parties — for example nicosiadisicilia.com for itinerary bookings, accommodation providers, experience operators and OpenStreetMap maps. We have no control over these services and are not responsible for their content, availability or the conditions they apply. Use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

5. Accounts and community

Some features (profile, favourites, community) require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for keeping your credentials safe. You can delete your account at any time from the profile page.

By posting content in the community (posts, comments, images) you confirm you have the right to do so and grant the site a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the service. You agree not to post unlawful, offensive, misleading content or content that infringes others’ rights. Content goes through editorial moderation: we may remove anything that breaches these terms, without this implying a duty of systematic prior screening.

6. Intellectual property

Text, photographs, graphics, logo and site structure are protected by copyright and belong to Vivi Nicosia or their respective owners. You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. Any other use — reproduction, republication, commercial use — requires our written consent.

7. Limitations of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from: inaccurate or out-of-date information; travel decisions made on the basis of the content; interruptions or malfunctions of the site; the conduct of third-party operators or services. The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of continuity or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or the law. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the “last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated version.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumer users, the court of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction where the applicable rules so provide.

10. Contact

For questions about these terms, write to info@vivinicosia.it. For the processing of personal data, see the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy.
