A beer that tells a town
The 24 Baroni Brewery comes from the Cosentino brothers’ idea to build a line of beers that is craft and narrative at once: each beer is dedicated to an episode or a figure from the story of Nicosia’s 24 Barons. The style is Italian, the raw materials largely Sicilian.
Recognition arrived early:
- Slow Food Presidium for chain and process quality;
- inclusion among the Mastri Birrai d’Italia in 2017 — the national award certifying the project’s maturity.
Today 24 Baroni beers are distributed across Sicily and in selected Italian markets. The narrative is consistent: this isn’t a generic product — it’s a piece of Nicosia.
Visit and tasting
The guided brewery visit lasts two hours and includes:
- the chain story (water, malts, hops);
- a tour of the production hall;
- explanation of fermentation and conditioning;
- tasting of five 24 Baroni beers with a small paired bite (cheeses from Albereto Dairy, local cured meats, bread).

For more: the Food Day Experience combines dairy, brewery, dolci-tipici cooking class and a Tavolo dei Baroni dinner —.
Motorcyclist Pit Stop
The brewery is a natural stop on the SS117 circuit and the reference point for the Pit Stop dei Baroni: secure parking, fast food, a tasting beer, a territory map. Designed for riders in transit or on a guided panoramic tour.
A note on the name
The “24 Baroni” mark is registered by the Cosentino Brewery. On the Vivi Nicosia institutional site, “24 Baroni” is also a narrative element of the territory (the story of the twenty-four nobles who administered the town between the Middle Ages and the early modern period). When we refer to a beer we mean the Cosentino product; when we refer to a street or palazzo in the historic centre, we refer to the town’s history.
The overlap between story and brand is intentional, and it works: tasting a 24 Baroni sends a fragment of history home with you.
