Three months of town squares
The Municipality of Nicosia, with the Sicilian Region and the Libero Consorzio Comunale di Enna, signs the Estate Nicosiana 2026 programme: from 29 July to 11 October the squares of the old town and of the hamlet of Villadoro host open-air cinema, concerts, religious feasts, tournaments, tastings and theatre in the Gallo-Italic dialect.
August: the busiest month
Ferragosto is the heart of the programme, with the feast of the Madonna Assunta, the Sagra del Biscotto and the evenings run by the Confraternita Maria SS. Assunta in Piazza Re Federico. Then come the regional final of Miss Universe in Piazza Garibaldi, the Campari Soda Fest, the Villadoro evenings of the San Giovanni Battista committee and, at the end of the month, the Nicosiana and the feast of San Felice da Nicosia.
September and October
September brings the Gallo-Italic dialect festival, the Festa della Montagna, the International Madonnari di Sicilia Competition and the neighbourhood feasts. The finale is in October, with the Gran Premio La Motta and the Festa del Cannolo.
