Live fire in the piazza
On Saturday 8 August, New Bar Italia lights the grill in Piazza Marconi: it starts at 8 pm and everything is cooked to order, right in front of you. The formula is the one printed on the poster — fire, beer, friends, stars — with unlimited seats under the August sky.
The menu, cooked to order
On the coals: horse-meat panini, horse-meat meatballs, veal cutlets, sausage and spring onions, with cold beer alongside. Horse meat taking centre stage is no accident: in Nicosia it is a deep-rooted tradition, and a barbecue in the piazza is the most direct way to taste it.
Where
At New Bar Italia, Piazza Marconi n. 3 bis, in the heart of Nicosia: you eat outdoors, right in front of the bar.
