The event

On Saturday 8 August 2026 Nicosia’s historic centre stays up all night: the White Night organised by the City of Nicosia turns squares and streets into one big open-air stage, from 10pm until late. The programme brings together music, entertainment, art, fire performers, inclusion and kids’ animation: itinerant shows moving through the crowd, plus fixed stages along the route of the night.

The festival areas: Piazza Garibaldi, via F.lli Testa, Piazza Marconi and Santa Maria di Gesù, with live sets also in via IV Novembre and viale Vittorio Veneto.

What to expect

Nicosia’s historic centre at night is a natural stage: stepped squares, stone façades, stairways climbing to the Castle. The White Night also exists to experience and photograph the town in a different light — and the 2026 edition, with street bands, fire performers and entertainment for the youngest, is designed to be walked, from one show to the next.

Safety

The event operates with an emergency plan coordinated with the Red Cross, Fire Brigade and police forces, following standard procedures for large public events in the historic centre.

    The 2026 edition turned the historic centre into a scattered stage: piazza Garibaldi, via Fratelli Testa, piazza Marconi, via Roma, Santa Maria di Gesù, via IV Novembre and viale Vittorio Veneto.
