The family
The Cirino family belongs to the group of 24 baronial stocks that shaped Nicosia’s civil and architectural history. Over the centuries, the baronial families built a fabric of palaces and residences that still forms the monumental identity of the historic centre.
The palace
Palazzo Cirino sits within the network of baronial palaces of central Nicosia. The building is photographically documented and is part of the civil heritage mapped by studies on Nicosia’s historic palaces.
Heritage under study
The palazzo’s history is documented: the three-storey building was begun in the 18th century for Graziano Cirino, completed by the early 19th century and renovated in 1850 by Luigi Cirino. The main hall preserves a ceiling frescoed with the Judgement of Paris.
