The Assumption agape
Within the programme of the Maria S.S. Assunta celebrations, on the evening of Tuesday 11 August Nicosia lays the table for its agape fraterna: a tasting of local produce conceived as a communal moment, where the shared meal — the ancient sense of the word agape — matters as much as what ends up on the plate. You eat together, among neighbours and people back in town for the August feasts.

From 8:30 pm the evening has its soundtrack: on stage Gli Assi music&events, the musical show announced on the poster.
Towards Ferragosto
The Assumption festivities carry Nicosia through to 15 August: three evenings after the agape, on Friday 14, the same setting hosts the Sagra del Biscotto.
The Farmer’s Supper
The confraternity calls it the Cena del Contadino, the farmer’s supper: bread broken together, wine that brings people close, the table laid in the square the way it was laid in the countryside. Faith, tradition, community — the invitation is to share a night of joy and thanksgiving.
